Listen to your study material. Learn while your hands are busy.
Lexie reads your notes aloud with natural pacing and pronunciation. Review while commuting, walking, doing chores, or when your eyes need a break. Your study material becomes something you can listen to anywhere.

How audio works
Generated from your study material
After you photograph your notes or textbook, Lexie creates an audio version of the content. The text is formatted with natural pauses after headings, sentences, and sections — not a robotic wall of speech. It sounds like someone reading your notes to you, not a screen reader processing a webpage.
Playback starts immediately
Lexie streams audio progressively — the first chunk plays while the rest is still loading. You don't sit waiting for a full file to generate. Open the audio player and it's already going.
Full playback control
Play, pause, scrub to any position, and adjust speed between 0.75x, 1x, and 1.25x. Slow it down for dense material. Speed it up for review passes. Study at whatever pace your brain needs right now.
Synced captions on demand
Turn on captions and follow along word by word as the audio plays. Each word highlights in sync with the narration. Useful when you're in a quiet environment and want to combine reading with listening, or when you need to look up a specific section quickly.
Why audio review matters
Dead time becomes study time
The bus, the walk to class, the dishes, the gym. You already have hours of time where your eyes and hands are occupied but your brain is free. Audio turns that dead time into review sessions without requiring you to sit down and stare at a screen.
Dual coding
Paivio's dual coding theory demonstrates that information processed through two channels — visual and auditory — is retained better than information processed through one. Listening to material you've already read creates a second encoding pathway. You're not replacing visual study, you're reinforcing it.
Repetition without fatigue
Re-reading notes is mentally draining. Listening to the same material requires less active effort while still maintaining exposure. For review passes where you're reinforcing rather than learning new content, audio lets you get the repetition in without the burnout.
Pronunciation for language learning
When studying foreign language material, hearing correct pronunciation alongside vocabulary and grammar content reinforces the auditory memory that reading alone doesn't build. Lexie auto-detects the content language and uses the corresponding natural voice.
Built for how you actually study
Any language
Lexie supports all Google Cloud text-to-speech languages. The content language is detected automatically from your study material — photograph French notes and the audio plays in French. Photograph bilingual material and Lexie handles the switch.
Works offline after generation
Once the audio is generated, it's stored on your device. Listen without an internet connection. Your commute doesn't need wifi.
Pairs with every study mode
Audio isn't a standalone feature — it adds a layer to everything else. Review your flashcard content by listening. Go through your study material before a quiz session. Listen to the concepts you'll be tested on in practise exams. The audio version of your material is always available alongside every other study mode.
