Getting started is easy

Lexie finds out what you need to learn, and then makes you practise.

  1. All you have to do is take a photo or upload your work

  2. Lexie breaks down the content into key concepts and finds out the best way to practise them

  3. Memorize, test, think, listen, read. Your work turns into five ways to learn it.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Three study sets are free, on the web or in the app. Sign in with your email, upload your PDF, and your quiz is ready in a few seconds.

Up to 10MB. Lexie works best with a PDF of a few pages, such as one lecture or one topic of your notes, so split a long file into several smaller sets, one per topic.

Multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching pairs, typed recall, and open questions that ask you to explain. The mix depends on what is in your PDF, because some facts are worth recognising and others are worth writing out.

For most PDFs, Lexie walks you through the material in short steps and asks questions as you go. When you get one wrong, it explains why, and the questions you miss come back until you know them. It also marks your open answers and tells you what was missing.

Yes. Save the slides or the handout as a PDF and upload it, or add photos or screenshots of the pages. You can also paste text straight into the box.

Yes. Make one quiz per lecture or topic as the course goes on, and answer the questions a few times before the exam. By exam week you spend your time on what you still get wrong instead of rereading everything.

Yes, on the web. You sign in with your email and a six-digit code before Lexie makes your first set. There is no password, and your quizzes are saved to your account. The app works without an account.

A quiz that explains your mistakes

When you get a question wrong, Lexie tells you why and brings it back later, so each round of the quiz teaches you a little more. Three study sets are free.
