You need
92%
on your final
Three study sets are free.
Three numbers decide it: your grade in the class right now, how much of the whole grade the final is worth, and the grade you want to finish with. The part of the class that is already done keeps its weight, and the final has to make up the difference.
Say your current grade is 82%, the final is worth 30% and you want 85%. The rest of the class counts for 70%, so it gives you 82 × 0.7 = 57.4 points. You need 85 − 57.4 = 27.6 more points from the final, and 27.6 ÷ 0.3 = 92. You need 92% on the final.
Not sure what your current grade is? Work it out from your categories with the weighted grade calculator.
Here is the score you need when the final is worth 25% of your grade. Use the calculator above for your own numbers.
| Current grade | To finish with B (80%) | To finish with A (90%) |
|---|---|---|
| 75% | 95% | Out of reach |
| 80% | 80% | Out of reach |
| 85% | 65% | Out of reach |
| 90% | 50% | 90% |
| 95% | 35% | 75% |
Once you know the number, the fastest way to find out if you are there is to test yourself before the exam does. Rereading your notes feels like studying, but answering questions is what makes the material stay.
Add your notes, slides or a PDF to Lexie and you get a practice test from your own class material, and the questions you miss come back until you know them. You can also start from the quiz generator or the study guide generator.
